IJQCAI levies a small Article Processing Charge (APC) when a submission is accepted to help pay for the high standards of peer review, editorial processes, and digital archiving. There are no fees for submitting or any costs that aren't clear. APCs make guarantee that the journal can keep going while still being open to everyone. IJQCAI is still dedicated to being open about prices and gives writers from low-income or developing areas waivers or discounts depending on need and merit.

The processing charges are payable after the review process(once it got accepted for publication).

It can be paid by the author, funder, institution or the employer.
